Really Scary Skies

Even if you're not a fan of my occasional photographs of the skies over Charlotte, you have to admit that this one is unworldly.

I took the photograph after the Clemson-UNC game last Saturday night. That's why the Bank of America is lit up in pale blue and orange (although the orange looks pink in the photograph). At first I was just trying to capture the colors of the bank and the huge black cloud, when all of a sudden the moon peeked through the cloud. It only lasted a moment, but I got the shot. It was sheer luck, though. My grandmother used to say: "Even a blind squirrel can find an acorn." Thanks grandma.
